Since September 1, 2008, Würth has been operating a “cash & carry” shop with integrated sales office and customer service center on the ground floor of Building F 1 at the Leverkusen CHEMPARK. Almost 5,000 articles from the product areas named above are available on site. All other articles in the range can be supplied within 24 hours, provided they are in stock. All telephone and written inquiries, offers and orders are handled exclusively through this sales office. The sales office is also responsible for serving CHEMPARK customers at the Dormagen and Krefeld-Uerdingen sites. Here, your requirements can be met perfectly.
Employees of the Dormagen CHEMPARK can also visit a big new Würth “cash & carry” shop at an industrial estate not far from the site (Hamburger Str. 11, 41540 Dormagen).

Silica Sol products are colloidal dispersions of amorphous silicon dioxide particles and are used in many industries as raw material in big volumes as well as an essential additive in special applications. The most important customers are found in the foundry and steel industries, the insulation industry, construction trade, paper industry, dental industry, beverage industry, chemical industry, coating systems, textile and foils as well as semiconductor industry.
Silica sols act as binding agents, as flocculation agents in colloidal chemical reactions, as polishing agent for various substrates, e.g. bare silicon wafer and for modification of surfaces. Depending upon the type, the products can be manufactured up to a concentration of 50% and then dispatched in this form.

Ausbildungsinitiative Rheinland GmbH
To improve the general training situation in the region, Bayer and Lanxess have been continuing to train more people than they actually require. An important component of this policy is the “Ausbildungsinitiative Rheinland” (AIR = Rhineland training initiative).

It is supported by the chambers of industry and commerce, the chambers of crafts, the employment agencies and the chemical associations. Fachhochschule für Oekonomie & Management
The Fachhochschule für Oekonomie & Management FOM (College of Higher Education for Economy & Management) gives employees of the CHEMPARK companies and Bayer subgroups the chance to take courses leading to Bachelor qualifications in Business Administration, International Management, Tax Law, Commercial Law, Web and Media Information Technology and Commercial Information Technology.
The study courses are designed for persons in employment or trainees and last seven semesters. The lectures are held two evenings weekly from 6.00 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. plus every Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 3.45 p.m.
The decision to locate to CHEMPARK Leverkusen was preceded by a long term cooperation. Since 1996 FOM and Bayer have been offering a trainee program for high school graduates.

The dangerous goods termi-nal and facilities meet the utmost legal safety standards for dangerous liquid and dry goods in tank containers. The total site covers an area of almost 90.000 sqm.

In addition to its catalogue business, Syntharo Fine Chemicals GmbH is also able to provide contract/custom syntheses and synthesis development services.
TANATEX Deutschland GmbH

Our production plant at CHEMPARK Leverkusen has a number of reactors in which the most differing chemical reactions and formulations can be carried out. Production is exclusively in batches. TÜV SÜD Chemie Service GmbH
Since starting up operations on April 1, 2005, TÜV SÜD Chemie Service GmbH (TCS), which was created out of Bayer AG’s former Technical Inspection unit, has been able to develop its business positively both nationally and internationally.
The main focuses of its commercial growth in Germany have been in the acquisition of the material and welding technology business of Rheinhold & Mahla AG and of the Signum Gesellschaft für Anlagensicherheit mbH. Both companies have their roots in Hoechst and strengthen our presence at the Rhine-Main location.
International growth has been based around the acquisition of PetroChem Inspection Service Inc. in Houston, Texas, USA and the establishment of a new site in Shanghai, China.
By acquiring these companies, TÜV SÜD Chemie Service has been able to expand its global service portfolio strategically in line with its motto of providing all-round safety across the entire life cycle of chemical plants.

UL International TTC GmbH
The Thermoplastics Testing Center offers the guaranteed proficiency of an accredited testing center with an all-inclusive service:
- compounding
- manufacture of test pieces
- test procedures
The expertise of the Thermoplastics Testing Center is confirmed by:
- UL certification for fire, aging, weathering and electrical tests
- DAR accreditation for selected physical and technological tests and – for the first time in Germany – for the compounding of thermoplastics and the injection molding of test pieces.
