The CHEMPARK region is a network for all aspects of innovative materials, with companies, universities and associations covering the entire value added chain. Innovative materials play a key role in enhancing our quality of life and maintaining our living space. As raw materials are becoming increasingly scarce, while the global demand for energy is growing all the time and CO2 emissions are on the rise, innovative materials are gaining in significance all the time. In coal-fired power stations, new types of filter system and gas separation membranes are helping to lower emission values. High-temperature-resistant metal alloys are playing a part in reducing the emission values of power stations by improving the efficiency of electricity generation. In house building or post-construction insulation, new insulation materials are helping to save energy and thus improve the CO2 balance. |

Nano-based, extremely scratch-resistant coatings are being used by the automotive industry. Very light and hard-wearing plastics now feature in aircraft construction. In medical technology, high-performance ceramics are just one material that is improving people’s quality of life. In the CHEMPARK region, partners are creating networks in all walks of life, e.g. in research, business and among associations. In this way, visions become ideas, which are then turned into sustainable products, markets and sales. |
