ALTRAD Kiel Industrial Services GmbH was founded in 2006 in Nördlingen. The foundations for the company were laid back in 1944 in the Ruhr town of Witten with the establishment of the company Kiel Rohrleitungsbau.

Today, a total of 13 legally independent companies who have established themselves over the years on the international industrial service market operate under the name ALTRAD Kiel Industrial Services GmbH. OHG. The logistics provider covers the entire spectrum of logistics services in the chemical industry and related sectors. As a specialist in dangerous goods and hazardous substance handling, Chemion provides equipment and infrastructure and offers, at the CHEMPARK sites, storage, handling, transportation, added-value services and training, also managing plant activities relating to production logistics.

Chemion’s customers also include companies from other sectors. They, too, benefit from the many years of experience of the 1,000 staff. The company operates branches in Leverkusen, Dormagen, Krefeld and Duisburg, but also ensures that its customers’ logistics run smoothly at other sites. In 2021, Chemion generated sales of EUR 133 million.

Horst Götz GmbH & Co KG has been active in the field of industrial cleaning since 1960. Their service comprises the cleaning of process equipment contaminated with any type of substance, but in particular the cleaning of containers, pipelines, heat exchangers and sewers, by means of high-pressure water technology to 3,000 bar and with suction vehicles and air conveyor systems.

VENATOR Uerdingen GmbH is a leader in the production of special titanium dioxide white pigments with almost 60 years of tradition.

VENATOR Uerdingen GmbH is one of the biggest partners at CHEMPARK Krefeld Uerdingen, where VENATOR produces not only over 100,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide according to the sulfate process, but also large quantities of sulfuric acid as well as industrial-grade iron oxides and ferrous sulfate. The company has an ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 und Cor1:2009 sowie ISO 5001 certificate. Chemical technicians, industrial mechanics, lab technicians, techatronic technicians and automation electronics technicians are currently being trained at the site in Krefeld-Uerdingen.
