Utilities
Chemical production requires reliable, demand-driven and cost-effective utilities 24/7. CURRENTA’s Utilities Business Unit supplies the production companies at CHEMPARK with all the utilities they need - electricity, steam, compressed air and gases in various specifications. The utilities are purchased on the market, converted in our own facilities and distributed to the various plants via our utility networks. In this way, they are available on-site as and when required.
In addition to the integral supply structures, the Utilities Business Unit also offers a wide range of services geared towards customer requirements.
Products
We can offer you a full supply of steam from our own power plants at various pressure and temperature levels at all CURRENTA sites. We are specialists in all aspects of steam generation and usage and, if required, can provide professional advice. You can depend on us – we can be contacted round-the-clock in the event of any problems.
CURRENTA’s power plant park allows the intensive utilization of cogeneration and the use of various fuels. Residual materials from production can also be used as auxiliary fuels.

We supply compressed air at different pressure and quality levels. Our closely meshed compressed air networks help us secure a high degree of availability.
All sites also offer a secure supply of oil-free and dried control air.

We procure natural gas and technical gases on the external market and supply them at different pressure levels via our own networks. You can access the quantities you need for your production operations at any time.

We can provide you with a reliable supply of electricity in the amounts and voltages you require. Some of this requirement we produce on site, while the remainder is procured on the market. With us as your electricity supply partner, you can be sure that you will always have the electricity you need when you need it – and at favorable prices.
We use cogeneration technology to generate electricity in an environmentally compatible way. Our own industrial networks are used to distribute the electricity at different voltage levels. Additional reserve networks are available at some of the sites.

We supply all the companies within the CHEMPARK sites centrally with drinking water and water of various quality levels for use in production and process cooling. Most of the water is obtained through our own systems, with the rest acquired on the open market, treated if necessary and distributed through our extensive pipeline systems. <br<
As a reliable water supplier we ensure maximum availability of all grades of water at favorable prices and implement sustainable groundwater protection in line with our commitment to the environment.

We generate refrigeration locally in your evaporator unit and transfer the recovered heat to the central facilities run by CURRENTA’s Utilities Business Unit. This technology eliminates the need for you to invest in expensive compressors, recooling plants and additional personnel resources. You benefit not only from the high availability of our facilities and networks but also from our favorable prices.
